The Eskimo nebula, a cloud of ionized gas located 3000 light years away, seen by the GTC using the Tunable Filter of the instrument OSIRIS. This special filters, a unique feature in 10m-class telescopes, allow selecting a very narrow spectral range. For this object, the Balmer alpha Hydrogen emission line was selected. This image was obtained with an exposure time of only 30 seconds.. Credits: OSIRIS / Daniel López
