Each one of OSIRIS' tunable filters has the same power as 19,000 conventional filters. If conventional filters were used, and were placed one on top of the other, they would reach a height of 152 metres, 30 metres higher than the Puerta de Europa in Madrid and 41 metres higher than St Paul's cathedral in London.
